Undergraduate Studies

The primary educational goal of Perrotis College is to provide maximum opportunities for the educational, professional, and personal growth of its students. Admission to Perrotis College is open to all qualified applicants, regardless of race, religion, or gender. Applicants are evaluated on the basis of each candidate’s potential for success in the degree programs offered.

 

 

If you are interested in applying for admission to Perrotis College, you must complete the Application for Admission (see Application Downloads). Along with the completed application form, you will need to submit:

  • Valid high school diploma & transcripts
  • Other certifications & transcripts
  • English language certification
  • Personal Statement
  • Two (2) letters of reference
  • Photocopy of ID card (Greek students) or passport (non-Greek students)
  • Passport photos – 4 for Greek or EU students, 6 for non-EU students

 

The Enrollment Office is responsible for reviewing and processing all applications and for communicating admission decisions. If the Enrollment Office decides to consider an applicant for admission, he/she is contacted for an Admissions Interview. Admissions decisions are made by the Admissions Committee which meets regularly during the admissions period.

 

Entrance (Admission) is based on:

  • GPA
  • Subject requirements
  • Examination Requirements
  • English language requirements
  • Personal Statement
  • Two (2) letters of reference

Placement Testing

Perrotis College tests all applicants who do not meet entrance requirements in the English language. Based on an evaluation of the exam results (as well as the results of the admissions essay, and whatever certified qualifications an applicant might have), each applicant will be placed according to his or her identified skill and knowledge level.

 

Information is available to applicants in order to help them prepare for the Placement Examination, which is administered prior to the beginning of the fall semester at the link here.

 

All candidates who do not meet the entrance requirements in the English language are requested to sit for the Oxford Placement Test on one of the dates listed here.

Note: Supporting documentation may be submitted electronically to admissions@afs.edu.gr, provided that original documents are received on or before enrollment. However, Perrotis College reserves the right to request that original documents be submitted before considering an applicant for admission. Supporting documentation must be translated to English, if applicable, by a certified translator.

Graduate Studies

In the fall of 2017 Perrotis College introduced a School of Graduate Studies, which awards Masters Degrees in areas of concentration related to Agricultural Science. The Graduate School builds on the AFS philosophy and long history of quality education focusing on applied research, practical training, and entrepreneurship, guided by the principles of social responsibility.

M.Sc. in New Food Product & Business Development

Students holding a B.Sc. degree or equivalent in one of the following fields are eligible for the M.Sc. in New Food Product & Business Development:

– Food Science or related field

– Food Technology or related field

– General Agriculture with a specialization in Food Science and/or Technology

 

Applicants with other relevant B.Sc. degrees (such as Nutrition, Chemical Engineering, Biology, Biotechnology, Public Health, Veterinary etc.) may be considered for admission on the basis of their undergraduate program curriculum. The admissions committee will review every application on an individual basis and may request that additional courses be completed.

To be considered for admission, candidates are also required to either hold a recent minimum TOEFL score of 80 (IBT), or a minimum IELTS score of 6.5 (or equivalent), unless their Bachelor degree has been awarded from an English-speaking institution or the candidate is a native English speaker. All students with no formal or evidence of English language skills are offered the option to sit the Oxford Placement Test (the test is computer based and is organised at the Perrotis College premises). Successful achievement of C1/C2 level in all components (min score: 85), Use of English and Listening, and overall grade of C1/C2, meets the English Language Requirements for direct entry into the program.

Professional experience is desirable but not required.

M.Sc. in Marketing for the Agro‐Food Sector

 Students holding a B.Sc. degree or equivalent in one of the following fields are eligible for the M.Sc. in Marketing for the Agro‐Food Sector:

 

– Business Studies

– Food Science & Technology

– Agriculture  

– Animal Husbandry

 

Applicants with other relevant B.Sc. degrees (such as Industrial & Chemical Engineering) may be considered for admission on the basis of their undergraduate program curriculum. The admissions committee will review every application on an individual basis and may request that additional courses be completed.

To be considered for admission, candidates are also required to either hold a recent minimum TOEFL score of 80 (IBT), or a minimum IELTS score of 6.5 (or equivalent), unless their Bachelor degree has been awarded from an English-speaking institution or the candidate is a native English speaker. Students holding a B.Sc. degree or equivalent in one of the following fields are eligible for the M.Sc. in Sustainable Agriculture and Management:

 

– General Agriculture with a specialization in Horticulture/ Plant Science

– Plant and Soil Sciences/Horticulture  

 

Applicants with other relevant B.Sc. degrees (such as Biology, Biotechnology, and Environmental Sciences etc.) may be considered for admission on the basis of their undergraduate program curriculum. The admissions committee will review every application on an individual basis and may request that additional courses be completed.

To be considered for admission, candidates are also required to either hold a recent minimum TOEFL score of 80 (IBT), or a minimum IELTS score of 6.5 (or equivalent), unless their Bachelor degree has been awarded from an English-speaking institution or the candidate is a native English speaker.
