Fields of Study
Gain a global perspective on sustainable farming practices while living and learning in one of Europe’s most agriculturally rich regions. With a curriculum grounded in precision agriculture, environmental stewardship, and livestock management, students develop critical thinking, research, and hands-on skills using cutting-edge technologies. This program is ideal for those interested in sustainable food systems, environmental science, and international agriculture, offering real-world experience and preparation for graduate study or careers in agribusiness, policy, and environmental management.
The Digital Marketing Management program offers study abroad students the opportunity to gain cutting-edge skills in one of today’s most in-demand fields while studying in a dynamic European context. Developed with input from industry experts and aligned with IDM standards, the program equips students with hands-on experience in SEO, content marketing, digital analytics, and social media strategy. By working on real campaigns and learning from faculty with both academic and professional backgrounds, students graduate prepared to lead in global marketing roles—with a competitive edge in digital strategy, branding, and international communications
The Environmental Science program at Perrotis College offers study abroad students a unique opportunity to explore global environmental challenges through an interdisciplinary, hands-on approach. Set in Greece’s diverse natural landscape, the program emphasizes fieldwork, research, and systems thinking to understand the dynamic interactions between the geosphere, atmosphere, and hydrosphere. Students gain practical skills in environmental data collection, analysis, and communication while examining the social, economic, and ethical dimensions of sustainability. Ideal for those pursuing careers or graduate study in environmental policy, conservation, or sustainability science.
Perrotis College Fall Term Program is a 12-week program, beginning in late September and ending around December 20th. Students enroll in 4 courses, totaling 12 credits (up to 15 credits available for an additional fee). In order to get fully immersed into Greek culture, all students are required to enroll in the Greek Cultural Experience course (3 credits).
The remaining courses are chosen from our fields of study.
Perrotis College Spring Term Program is a 12-week program, beginning in late January and ending around April 20th. It allows students to enroll in 4 courses, totaling 12 credits (up to 15 credits available for an additional fee). In order to get fully immersed into Greek culture, all students are required to enroll in the Greek Cultural Experience course (3 credits).
The remaining courses are chosen from our fields of study.

Perrotis College Summer Term Program is a 6-week program, from the beginning of June until mid-July. Students may earn up to 6 credits. A no credit option is also available.
In order to get fully immersed into Greek culture, all students are required to enroll in the Greek Cultural Experience course and choose to enroll in one of the following programs:
1. 6–week Intensive Courses:
- Greek Wine Business
- Greek Mediterranean Diet
- Greek Environment: Sea, Sky & Soil
2. Supervised Research: Students conduct research with other like-minded individuals in our new, modern laboratories, our educational farm or fields under the supervision of a research supervisor.
3. Work Internship: Students enroll as work interns in one of our educational farm units; our Dairy Farm unit or Horticulture unit.
We work with institutions and groups to design educational programs that meet your specific needs. Whether it’s a short term local trip or a country-wide, multi-week program, we create experiences that provide holistic learning.

Summer Only:
One-Day Sailing Around Halkidiki – Crystal-clear waters, hidden coves, and a day of relaxation at sea
Four-Day Sailing in the Sporades Islands – Island-hopping, Greek sunsets, and unforgettable experiences (optional)


Accommodation
– Suite-style rooms, featuring 2 bedrooms, 1 common living room area, 2 separate bathrooms and a balcony or patio
– Multi-purpose public space to accommodate educational, cultural and recreational events and gatherings
– Laundry facilities (free of charge)

FAQ
Prospective students must submit the ONLINE APPLICATION FORM and a resume. A minimum GPA of 2.5 is required for acceptance. Upon receiving the form, the study abroad committee will review the application and supporting documents. An email notification and acceptance letter will be sent to the email the student has provided.
All of our programs are under the 89 day limit, therefore there is no visa requirement for our study abroad students.
Yes. All courses, including research and work internship positions are transferable 3-credits. Transcripts will be sent from Perrotis College to the home institution shortly after completion of the program. Transcripts will also be sent to the student’s home address.
No. Perrotis College study abroad programs are taught in English. Also, in Thessaloniki and most parts of Greece, English is widely spoken. However, Greek lessons are a part of the Greek Cultural Experience course in order to provide students a richer understanding of Greece.
All payments are made via wire transfer in U.S. dollars. If you’re unsure whether the bill should be sent to you or your home institution, please contact the Perrotis College Study Abroad office for clarification. At this time, Perrotis College does not offer scholarships or financial aid for study abroad students.
Study abroad students can choose from a wide range of courses within our specialized fields: Agricultural & Environmental Science, Food Science & Technology, and Agro-Business & Food Business Management. The only required course for all study abroad participants is the Greek Cultural Experience.
No, working on our educational farm or in the fields is not required. While some courses may include field trips or hands-on activities, only students who apply for and are accepted into a farm internship are expected to participate in farm work.
