Overview

The program provides a comprehensive understanding of international markets, trade, and business strategies, with a particular emphasis on sustainability and innovation. Students will learn how to navigate diverse cultural, economic, and environmental contexts, develop critical decision-making skills, and hone their ability to lead and collaborate in team-oriented environments. This degree prepares students for a wide range of career opportunities in international business, with a specialized focus on agriculture, food products, and tourism.

Research conducted by the International Business department focuses on critical areas such as the internationalization of Greek SMEs, international trade and food exports, entrepreneurship, innovation marketing, and alternative tourism.

Specializations

Students can tailor their studies by specializing in one of two focus areas:

This specialization is designed for students who wish to pursue a career within the food industry, focusing on areas such as purchasing, manufacturing, distribution, sales, and marketing. Students will gain knowledge in both business management and marketing, and will also gain hands-on experience through partnerships with food industry firms. This specialization prepares graduates to enter manufacturing or retail positions, where the demand for skilled professionals continues to grow.

The International Food and Agribusiness Management specialization equips students with the theoretical knowledge and practical skills necessary to manage businesses within the global food and agriculture industries. The program covers key topics such as business management, economics, human resources, finance, and technology, while also addressing the challenges faced by the agro-food sector, including environmental issues and the evolution of consumer demands. Graduates of this specialization are well-prepared to pursue post-graduate studies or enter management roles within the agribusiness field, working for businesses that serve commercial farmers and agribusiness enterprises.
