Perrotis College & ISAEK Students at Techstars Startup Weekend Thessaloniki

Launching Startup Ideas in 54 Hours — Even If You Have No Idea How

Students from Perrotis College and ISAEK participated in the Techstars Startup Weekend Thessaloniki, an immersive 54-hour entrepreneurial experience where participants develop a startup idea from scratch, build a prototype, collaborate with mentors, and pitch to a panel of judges.

We are truly proud of our students for their creativity, teamwork and strong presence throughout the event. Below are the projects they developed:

Perrotis College Teams

KudoTrip

Description: An AI-powered assistant that helps users plan flights, accommodation, events and activities — featuring shared budgets and a collaborative wallet for group trips.
Team: Lea Sada, Marisa Renja

Unify

Description: A platform designed to support teenagers and young adults in academic and career orientation. UNIFY connects users with peers, mentors, and certified career coaches, offering guidance, shared experiences, and tailored support for both educational and professional development.
Team: Stergios Kyranoudis, Sofilia Apostolidi

BLUEBITE – Mackerel Jerky

Description: A nutrient-rich jerky made from mackerel, offering busy adults an accessible source of vitamin D and essential nutrients. The project also aims to support small local producers through sustainable sourcing.
Team: Dimitrios Martekas Emirzas, Nikolaos Bampas, Charalampos Laggarias

Recone (Recycle + Cone)

Description: A sustainable ice-cream cone made from industrial by-products of tomatoes, apples, carrots and grapes — ingredients with high CO₂ footprints. Recone offers natural sweetness, antioxidants, phenolic compounds and a light red color, while reducing carbon emissions from industrial waste in Greece.
Team: Eftychia Polyzou

Lulago – AI-Powered Agricultural Marketplace

Description: An AI-driven platform connecting verified agro-commodity sellers with buyers, ensuring fair pricing, efficient operations and reliable logistics.
Team: Adefare Tomisin

ISAEK Teams

FindMySpot

Description: A smart parking solution that locates and reserves available parking spaces in real time, connecting private and municipal parking areas through an intelligent peer-to-peer network.
Team: Foteini Kekiliki, Stellina Karasoulidou, Dimitra Papadimitriou

Greek Product Box

Description: A curated product box featuring goods produced at the American Farm School’s educational farm, sold via e-shop to support the School’s educational mission. The project includes CSR collaborations with companies to expand its distribution and impact.
Team: Kimia Atolahi, Xeni-Haido Apostolopoulou, Vasileios Evangelinos, Evangelos Kotsis, Petros Bozinis

VET (EPAL) Team

Smart Tail Collar – Real-Time Ketone Monitoring for Livestock

Description: An innovative “smart tail collar” that measures ketone levels in cows and sheep in real time using non-invasive sensor technology. The system replaces manual blood testing, prevents metabolic diseases such as ketosis, reduces labor, and provides farmers with instant data through a mobile app — offering a high-accuracy, automated and accessible solution for modern livestock management.
Team: Dimitris Chamos, Giannis Tasioulis

We congratulate all our students for their participation, professionalism and innovative ideas.
Their performance reflects the strong academic foundations and hands-on learning ethos of Perrotis College and ISAEK.
